This forum is obviously quite deserted most of the time, but I was wondering who is actually playing Uplink very much anymore. I haven't played for a while. I just haven't had the time for it lately.
How much do you play?
And yes, this is just to get more people posting so my existence is justified.

I play on occasion. I'm about at the part where the plot-based missions come in. I stopped playing for awhile after my best agent, who was well into the storyline, was caught. Hacking a bank. It's always a bank.

I alternate Uplink with EVN so I get a fair amount of gameplay. I get frustrated with LAN's I've been caught 15 out of the 16 times I've tried hacking LAN's. So EVN is looking better.

I still play on a semi-regular basis. But its usually because I need to find out about some specific aspect of the game or when I need something to do.

I visit every day that I'm "on duty", and simply check the date of the last post from the main forum index. Unless somebody has actually posted something, I just move on to the other boards I moderate or post on.
Dude i've totally spaced uplink in the last months, dunno why. guess i got really pissed being caught again and again and again and again etc.....

I beat all the possible missions, found out all the tricks etc. Then, with nothing left to do, I stopped. Same with EVN, except I have not played EVERY plug-in.

Well, I just picked it up again...I wasn't playing for a while, but I just got re-addicted. I'm starting to get a little worried that I'm running out of stuff to do, though; I've done all the missions except for the storyline ones, which I have yet to figure out how to get. After I do that, though, I'm not sure what I'll do.
I sure wish there was a way to make your own missions, that would be great...That's always been one of my favorite things about the EV series. If people could make their own missions and storylines in Uplink, I'd never get tired of it. I wonder if anyone could figure out a way to make an editor...?

i've been playing since i saw this really cheesy hacker movie. I play quite a bit, actually, and have recently been able to hack banks, steal ppls money from banks, and hacked the arc mainframe just for kicks and deleted all of their data. it was fun. I actually don't own the game, i am just playing on the demo.

I can still play Uplink for several hours without getting terribly bored, but I haven't gone through any of the storyline missions or made my agent obscenely wealthy.
The music is repetitive, but often seems to match the task at hand quite nicely.
However, I probably won't be playing much over the next few days, have to plan a tabletop game for this weekend, and also do some work on my stormtrooper armor.

I had the unreg. version hanging around for a while, and I got board with it, but I just registered and picked it up again (duh, it just got more interesting! ). So I'll probably be hanging around here more, and maybe playing around with mods and such.

I just got a new G4 with OS X, so I've started playing more, since my old computer didn't run Uplink too well, and it required more work than play, which made me angry. But now that I have a good computer, I've started up again, and having a grand ol' time.
