I think I foung a bug I got caught using this gateway but in the decription is says you can't be caught. Has this happened to anyone else.
I am not sure if that's a guaranteed 'never be caught' - if so, that's a bargain for the price, and you'd be trading safety for computing power. (Probably the best machine for initial bank hacks.)
And I would think it's still possible to do something blatant that would result in your arrest - you're still leaving logs as you bounce from system to system.

I beleive that introversion wanted to include this feature, but decided not to.

I had the same problem with Remote Access gateway. I still got caught, even though I did stuff like delete my logs. So after losing many hours of gameplay, I went online and searched a bit. I finally read somewhere that in Uplink 1.3.3 the Remote Access gateway is no longer remote. (But it was in 1.3.2) The broadband radio thingy is not included. However this is not documented.. a big oversight if you ask me.
Anyhow, its still a good upgrade from the ALPHA, since it has double CPU capacity, more memory, and a little faster modem capacity.
I'm shooting for the KRONOS gateway but I keep getting caught. Fortunately I've made backups...
By the way what does "Karma" mean or signify in this forum?

I had a feeling I was right...
Karma: Karma is a measure of a person's standing on the web boards; 0 is neutral, negative is bad, positive is good. Moderators can warn (lower karma) or praise (raise karma) people based on their posts. If your Karma has been affected by a moderator, you will be eMailed the details of why your Karma was affected, and by whom. If someone's Karma becomes too negative (-10 or worse), that person is banned from the web boards until a moderator raises their Karma.)
If you follow the web board guidelines, you will not have a problem with your Karma.
AKA: More is good, less is bad. -10 Karma gets you banned. +15 Gets you in the fast track for moderatorship. Welcome to the boards

A couple corrections:
Once a person reaches -10 karma, only an admin can unban that account. Increasing karma at that point does not work, as the account itself is deactivated.
+15 does not get you on the fast track for moderatorship. Many current mods became such with much lower positive numbers (such as myself) or clean karma. Many +15 members are not and will not become moderators.
