Alright, I've "ported" a level I made ages ago called The Crossing to XR. It's Area 39. There's just a few alterations to be made, then testing and then it'll be a cool level with something important in it... (hint, hint!)
My sister is also making a level ( Sand Castles ) for XR which will be bundled with her already-completed two: Ioioeoar and Look Out Below! in SNB's Kingdom (which is a secret little place just off Mirages).
All in all, work's coming along nicely. Er, that's excluding home work... :redface:

Oy, I'm so tired. I've had days filled with homework, and homework sucks. Science project, all that crap. But, finally, I cleared the dust from my keyboard and fired up my iMac. (computer with MASCOT and the like)
Now, there is actually progress! I've started Acrid Alveolation, changed some levels, sketched a few, and also gotten teh evil level ready to start-- "Puzzliness''. I made a maze and am going to use it.
I'm not sure about Malcolm, but I'm going to start churning out levels again! Yay!

I'm so sorry, Ferazel community. I've kinda let you down as far as XR has gone. I'm not sure if Malcolm is still here and active on the boards ( :p), but I'll start levelmaking again soon. I'm currently working on a MORPG engine with someone on the Cythera boards.

(FIX) - One or two things in the Council storyline... just the information not corresponding with the sprite activation in conversations. (FIX) - Something in the Rebel storyline which didn't activate the right character. To Do:
Incorporate ferazel's latest four levels into XR203, which will be released (hopefully) today.
Check the Council string runs okay in Warground.

Okay, XR203's been released. It's on the (url="http://"http://xr.ferazel.net/beta")beta page(/url) as well as the (url="http://"http://xr.ferazel.net/dev")development page(/url). It doesn't have PICT 7000, though.

Do more to both storylines.
Finish rewriting the readme in HTML format.
Make some more levels, but not forest levels. Ice, snow or fire are best.

Yay! Thanks! And every time the player finishes a mission, his "rank bonus" increases by 50 coins. For the mission in A18 he got 250 coins, so for the next mission he'll get 300, then 350, etc...

Yes, that would be good. If you look at the map in XR203 (presuming, of course, you get XR203, not xr119...), you'll see that the forest area is very cramped.

Okay, ferazel sent me two levels a long time ago (one called Escape! , which will have to have its name changed, as it's not really very, uhh, escape-y, and the other which is called Frozen Lake , which I've kept the same. These are Areas 40 and 41, and come at the top of the map as snow levels.
We only need Ice and Cave levels now, ferazel, and I've got one-and-a-bit Ice levels planned. Xichra's levels will be in the Cave area, but I think they will be entered from the Ice area. I'll make the entrance level because there's a couple of things that I want put there. It'll be quite a small level.

(ADDED) - Area 40 which needs a name. It's a snow level which is big and quite hard. (ADDED) - Area 40, or Frozen Lake. (ADDED) - The map nodes connecting the above levels to Area 24.

(ADDED) - ferazel has brainstormed work for six (hard :D) Rebel storyline missions (ADDED) - ferazel has sketched a "Rebel officers' lounge", which the player can access when (s)he gets to a high enough rank in the Rebellion.
(UPDATE) - I'm yet again being piled on with homework, but I should be mostly free on the weekend, so serious progress should happen then.
ferazel is possibly going to make another Rebel Assault Course (RAC), which would be the third action-packed level for the Rebellion
ferazel will also make more Rebel storyline in our current levels
I will make a CAC (Council Assault Course
I will finish off two ice levels I'm working on.
I'll rename A40 to Algidity.

I've come back from the dead (ie. I've got all my revision and other, erm, assorted homework done) and (url="http://"http://xr.ferazel.net")the XR site(/url) has got a facelift, LizWiz has come back and so now I have a (although she counts for at least ten) beta tester, and so work will be done.

Yeah, so not much progress. Never mind now : it will come eventually! Okay, the completion of a level is fairly major, so I'll post it here...
... I've finished A44 ( Confusion ) which is a forest level with fire-style BG tiles. It has a few fish, more salamanders and too many ( :eek: ) spiders! It may become the beginning of a mini-plot (maybe three levels) to get... well, wait 'till XR's released and you'll see!

Combine my latest version with ferazel's latest version (still waiting for contact from ferazel...).
Name A19: it's a big (256*128 tiles), brickwork level which is fairy hard. Any suggestions are appreciated.
I've gone through the levels and found some bugs. For the sake of completeness - and in case I lose my paper - I'll post them here.
Bugs:
A2 ( Burning Caves ) - Some BG Tiles at the barrier just before the minecart have been misplaced.
A4 ( Going Up... ) - The Rebel officer appears without Ferazel even having joined the Rebellion.
A4 ( Going Up... ) - Some BG Tiles under the ledge after the double speed powerup have been misplaced.
A4 ( Going Up... ) - Some BG Tiles before the cannons have been misplaced.
A4 ( Going Up... ) - Some BG Tiles above the Ziridium Brine pool at the end have been misplaced.
A5 ( Frostbite ) - If you buy a Magic Potion from Droid you get a Health Potion, and vice versa.
A15 ( Beached ) - Neither conversation had been made.
A15 ( Beached ) - At the end the platform is too low (it should hit Ferazel against the spikes :D)
A17 ( Manditraki Base ) - The spinblocks in the bottom-left aren't quite aligned (which looks really weird).
A17 ( Manditraki Base ) - After completion, Ferazel loses coins rather than gains them from the Rebel officer. Oops.
Well, I sure have my work cut out for me!
Okay, I've fixed all of the above bugs but I think that there will be some more problems with the Rebel permflags and mission order now. Meh. I'm going to upload (to /dev and /beta) and then start testing all over again. Bah. :frown:
