I recently downloaded the "Gateway building parts" And i know that you can make gateways with them, but how. There was no read-me with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are guides available somewhere (probably at modlink), but you might be better off waiting for a program to be made to do most of the work for you. I know that there is one currently under development (there was a topic asking for beta testers here not to long ago).

Actually, Beacon the gateway builder that I built, never actually worked on anyones computer but mine. After that I have not had time to find the problem. Any one who might know the problem, tell me. It was built in X-Code 1.1.
Uh...Adriac built Gate Way X sometime ago, and it worked just fine with my computer. It worked quite well aside from a few bugs.

Edit: That thing doesn't appear to load images with OS X panther. So, if you have panther, don't try it.

Yeah well, we're still holding out hope.
GatewayX isn't exactly functional for me. Dragging stuff from the drawer does nothing, and the clicking the buttons that say 0 doesn't do anything either.
Forgive me if I should have emailed this to Adriac. I'll do that if that's the appropriate thing to do.
Note: Hmm. I guess it's Panther, since loading an image brings up Page Setup.

At first glance, I must say, "Holy crap, this appears awesome at first glance!"
However, upon closer inspection, the software appears counterintuitive, hard to use, without any documentation, and nearly useless for creating a usable Gateway.
Then again, it's not like the guides tell you everything. (Off the top of my head, they fail to say what the maximum displayable picture size is in the window, and they fail to mention the size for the components you've bought.)

Sorry, I never even thought of making documentation with it, I can see how it is hard to understand. I will make some documentation to go with it and will post the link to it as soon as it is ready.

For a few weeks up to and after the release, this place was madness. I've never locked so many topics and slapped so many posts in all my moderator life. I much prefer the calmer, slower forum we have now, which allows me to pretty much ignore it most of the time. Jericon is also mostly gone now, it seems. Right now this forum could pretty much survive without any moderators, and one works out just fine.

mrxak, I agree, I remeber all of those locked topics, several were mine in fact. Although I prefer it that way because this board is my home on the Ambrosia Webboard.
