New project! (And stuff)

After months away, everyone's* favorite Mac Uplink third party developer is back, shocked to find RedshirtX and InterNARC still top rated in all their buggy glory.

First off, I'll start replying to bug reports in earnest now. Unfortunately this means that most of them will probably have to be resubmitted to me, but what can you do. It is important to note that "bug reports" also almost applies to feature suggestions for InterNARC and RedshirtX but fails because...

I've got something new up my sleeve! Armed with Xcode (yay), I will begin to create a new nightmare... Well, not a nightmare, but I have not yet given it a name. I'll be going with an idea I heard a lot back when I was around, namely the quintessential Uplink user file hacker. I'll be starting off fresh (cause RedshirtX was a sloppy piece of hack work not suitable for more than direction for the masterpiece i am about to create) with a REDSHIRT encryption platform and then add on features as I see fit. I may even (gasp) purchase the Windows dev CD and borrow code from there so as to allow my fledgeling nightmare to fully master the Uplink Agent file format in all its horrifying depths.

I may even, at some point, merge it with GatewayX and the unborn LanMasta (working title, leave me alone) to create one festering, pulpy Uplink third-party conglomerate. But we'll start in one place and go from there.

All in favor... well, first, all against, go away.

(edit) As an afterthought, I regret the announcement that Project Nightmare will be - without possibility of change, whine as you might - Mac OS X-only (I might make Panther/Jaguar versions to use the cool new UI elements)
