ok I swear I'm doing everything right. I get the numbers right and i get the money transfered, then as fast as possiable, which i think it pretty fast, I delete only the logs that say routed as well as the logs in the statement that specifies the transaction at both datalink band and uplink bank, and yet i still get caught. I have tried a bunch of times, and it seems like there s no way to stop them. I bounce through a whole bunch of serves and I clean up 2 computers (closest to my connection. can someone time themselfs and see if I'm just too slow, or gimme a real idiots guide please, the other thing, is a route through phones too, who do they trace through phones, can i delete those? I've tried cleaning otht eh test computer and the interlink, no luck thus far, please help, have updates made things harder?

The banks are VERY fast with their passive traces - not the trace you see on your trace tracker or HUD monitor. It sounds like you are covering your bases well, and I can only think of a couple of other things to try and/or check:

1. Are you bypassing the bank's security systems - proxy and monitor, I believe. This will allow you to get more done before they start tracing you.

2. While you are connected to the bank you are transferring from, IMMEDIATELY delete the statement log from the account you are 'borrowing' money from. Don't worry about the admin log as the passive trace would already be past that point.

3. Delete your logs at Internic BEFORE going to the Uplink bank and deleting the statement log showing the transfer into your account. You MUST break the chain of logs BEFORE the bank discovers who transferred the money or nothing else matters.

one more thing. When i use a monior bypass, most systems detect me when i access the admin stuff, that means that the bypass couldn;t overide it or something? I thought that the bypass was suspose to cover you completely, though, i understand if it can't are their exceptions?

I'm really confused. I swear, I did everythign pefect still and I think that i gotta be with ing the time limit i got the logs removed within 30 seconds, and then i delete the uplink band ones, and then i get those logs too, does anyone have an actual timed bank hack to compare myself to, though I really think that I'm moving at least as fast as an average person

Usually you only need about 1 minute before they catch you. Monitor bypasses will keep the monitor from tracing you unless you log on as admin. Look (url="http://"http://www.wanfried.com/george/guides/bankhack")here(/url) for more help.

The banks are fast, but not THAT fast! I've never timed the operation, but I would estimate that it took somewhere between 1-2 minutes. If you are being caught that fast, maybe you need to check that you are not playing in 'fast forward' speed. When you hit fast forward to wait for a news story to appear or for new missions to come up, it is easy to forget to reset it back to normal speed. I did this once early on and watched the active trace nab me so fast, I didn't even realize what was going on - until it was too late!

Yes. But a bank belonging to a high security company(e.g. one whose internal services machine has monitor, proxy, and firewall in high levels) might trace faster.
Make sure you read the guide, it helps. Another thing, make sure it really was the bank that caught you. Because if you did another hack, you make logs for the previous tracers, so wait a while after hacking if you plan to hack a bank. Let a mission to trace someone be accepted first. Then you should get the big $$$. One warning: Unless you plan to get an expensive gateway like the A.W.O.L. Overkill, don't steal lots of money, it spoils the game.

Please do not start multiple topics on the same subject. There are enough bank hacking topics here already, we don't need everyone to start making more than one of their own. Especially within the same day.

I'll give you one tip before I lock this though:

Make a new account at the bank you want to steal money from. Transfer money to that one instead of your uplink one. It's much easier to cover your tracks at one bank than two.
