I got caught on the "untraceable" gateway!

I was just hacking into a bank, and since they seem to have no active trace and I had the gateway that that could not be passively traced, I assumed I had all the time in the world. Well guess what, the "untraceable" gateway was traced. Anyway some help here, can I not steal money? can they still trace that. or is it a glitch? or does the gateway's company just false advertising? 🙂

I had the same problem and the trick is to get done quick deleate the records. But there is one critical part. Link through the InterNIC (they are easy to hack) when done transfering from enamy acct to yours on the bank server erase log there. then jump right to the internic, admin and erase the logs. This will make a passive search fail. Think of the passive kinda like an audit in this case.

next jump back to bank transfer from your acct on that bank to your uplink acct, erase the log and again do the inter. you are home free. Hooah

Just a thought, but next time USE THE SEARCH FEATURE! Sorry, I had to get that out of my system as this topic has been brought up several times before. Sigh...

Another good idea is to route your connection through phone lines, (eg. "Kevin Stonelake's voice phone system") and public access servers, (eg. "Uplink Public Access Server,") who don't log your actions, as a first line of defence. So, in order to do that, they should be the last thing(s) you click on before your final destination, (the server into which you wish to hack.) It's a great trick, especially when hacking into places that don't trace you actively. Since they don't trace you actively (if yu use a monitor bypass,) they can only log the IP adress of your first line of defence, and when they attempt a passive trace, there will be no access logs to continue tracing back to you.

This is not true: just because you can't get to the logs doesn't mean the uber-powerful passive tracers can't. Everywhere has logs that can be used to passive trace (even phones).

Not the ambrosia uplink credits server, because they forgot to program logs into it, do both passive and acive traces stop there. This is a great (and slightly cheap) way to hack without getting passively traced.

Filter the InterNIC list with the word "Uplink".
