I can't seem to get into the main missions, u know, the ones where u work for ARC or Arunmer or whatever its called. I got the dead guy e-mail Broke into the ARC Mainframe, used the code, didnt work Got that message, basically said go f... yourselves, deleted the message
Now I can't get it back, I've tried using that password again, even without a monitor bypass they wont track me I even tried destroying the mainframe several times to piss them off, didnt work Tried getting active traced, only got me kicked from Uplink (thank God for backing up) Then tried getting passive traced, it didnt work! i left all my logs intact, even changed some to lead directly back to my gateway, fiddled in console and logs and fileserver, just to get their attention, days later, still no trace! Please, anyone who knows how I can get into the mission string, help me. I have an awsome account, millions stolen, millions from stock market, Technomage rating, all the software I could possibly need, a mod gateway with 16-200ghz proccesors, I CANT LOSE ALL THIS! HELP!

Usually, all you have to do is connect to ARC mainframe, try the code, fail, disconnect, remove your logs (never tried without deleting them), and wait ARC's mail. Make sure to have some (four, i think) Gq free, or Revelation won't be copied on your memory bank.

I too have had the same problem, because before i just got the dead guys letter and ARC contacted me somehow. Well know I know how to do it
ok... i just tried this, they havent sent any e-mails or caught me, i also typed: cd sys delete in the console, and still havent been caught, i tried cd usr delete as well... which i probably shoudnt of done and still havent e-mailed me or caught me, do i have to leave my logs behind?, cos i deleted them

I was tired yesterday (in france, it was yesterday when i posted) and haven't seen that you already got that mail from ARC. :redface: Sorry.
However, i did all i could to find a way to save your game, and i found one. Klepsacovic, you just deleted the first mail, where they say that you shouldn't hack again, right ? Check if there's news of a virus outbreak on Arunmore server (in the news from Uplink), or a new service called "Faith Progress". If yes, there's no way to start the storyline. Sorry. If no, you're saved ! Just create a new email, and send it to internal@ARC.net. (i tried it with no subject or body, and it worked. If you want to send a complete mail, the subject written when you reply is RE your email and the body is RE your email (new line) 'An offer you can't refuse' ) You should receive a mail and a mission from ARC.

I tried sending an e-mail to internal@ARC.net, but i always get a unknown receipent message. And ive tried the code, a few times and speeded up the game but still didnt get a message.
Are you sure there's is no news about a virus outbreak at Arunmore, or a menu called "Faith progress" ? Have you tried with entering all informations in the mail : To: internal@ARC.net Subject: RE your email Body: RE your email <start a new line> 'An offer you can't refuse'
I let the message there, and will do further testing.

There is a menu called faith progress, so what, does it help? I did a mission called help bring in a CEO or something of that sort, does that help? I haven't gotten any missions since then.
