You can't really get on the plot without registering uplink I have just found out. Which means I get no taste for how good the plot is or what is involved in it or anything, all the previsous ambrosia games I have played have had good plots but that is mostly the EV series, made by ATOMOS not Contriband and that other company that did it for PC. You should be able to get at least about 1/4 of the way through before need to register to get a taste for it in my opinion. Unless I get abunch of people to tell me it is worth the $$ to register at the very best I won't delete uplink from my hard drive.

I find it to be worth it. But if you figure out how to hack money from banks finances just dissapear, reducing the $$$ earning time, making it a bit easy.
yeah I hacked a bank and got 1 million credits, now I have all the best stuff I can get with the unregistered version. Nothing left to do unless I register it.
the full version is worth it. I spent like 20 bucks on it. The nice thing is after you beat it, you can nstill keep playing. Doing missions. Making skins, gateways, hacking, lans, systems, stockmarkets, viruses,,,, etc. etc. The game never ends, and its worth it to buy it.

Ok maybe I will, although I play to many games as it is. But what the heck I still might, not sure yet but I'd say the odds are for it are good.
