Problems with accepting/contacting for missions

Recently, a whole slew of 'Trace the hacker' missions are showing up.
When I try to accept or even contact for information I get a 'You can't contact this employer by their specific instructions.'

I assume it has to do with my Neuromancer rating but I'm not 100% sure.

I believe that's because those missions are for people taking the mission threads.

Sorry but I don't understand what your response means. Do you mean that someone is already doing the mission or something else?

Also, is there any way to delete mission that you don't want to take?

It might be that they are trying to trace you! (Have you been destroying servers lately?)

When you recieve the email from the dead agent, you have a limited amount of time to begin either the Andromeda or Arunmor (sp?) missions. If you don't do this in time, NPC agents simply do the thread themselves. The missions posted that you cannot accept are specifically for these agents.

From the list? No, it's like a pinup noticeboard in a supermarket. It's not quite normal for people to walk up and tear off people's notes.

In that particular game, I had already successfully done the Arunmor mission (and nuked the site with Revelation) so that wasn't the problem (unless every one of those trace the hacker missions, there were like 8 of them, were being set up by the site I had nuked). But at one point in the game I went from being able to accept those missions to not being able to and the only thing that seemed to happen was that my neuromancer rating had changed. No matter, I got busted and had to start over anyhow. ;(

Often after you do something quite difficult, such as destroy a mainframe or hack a bank, there will be a mission put up there to trace you. Naturally, it would be a conflict of interest for you to attempt to trace yourself, so you aren't allowed to accept the mission.
