But it keeps on messing me up, i have too different uplink users on my game and for some odd reson they fused together and the advanced one became the old one but i was at about march the 15th, about two days before the story line starts and i might as well have started a new game.

kinda odd isnt it?

Yes. When you make backups, you need to move the copies out of the users directory (I keep mine in a directory right next to it called "users-backup"). If you do that, then the files don't get intermingled.

Good idea Ricia, I've been placing them in random folders on my computer. Should you also, change the name of the user when you make a duplicate?

As long as they arn't in the same folder, it will not matter what they are named or where they are located.

I leave the beginning of the name, and then number them. For my user "Zyl.usr" I have Zyl-1.usr, Zyl-2.usr, Zyl-3.usr, etc.

If you need to use one of these, it seems to work best if you change the backup's name back to the original name. So I'd either delete or move the original Zyl.usr, move Zyl-5.usr back to the users directory, and then rename it back to Zyl.usr

Works for me, anyway. The game doesn't get confused, and neither do I. (Not much anyway <g> )
