On the final ARC mission, when I hack a system, sometimes Revelation runs and infects the system perfectly. However, other times, I get disconncted by the remote system as usual (Revelation does this) but the map doesn't blink red on that system nor does Revelation_Tracker show it as infected.
I'm going through the same procedure every time: connect to ISS, hack password, bypass proxy/firewall if needed, delete first file on server, upload Revelation there, console, cd usr, run revelation.
Is this supposed to happen (why), or should this be posted in Jericon's bugs thread? (I don't see it already there, but all I did was search for "ARC".)

Possibly Faith is already running on that system?

My guess would be Faith. You can try running it again if Faith is a lower version though (I think).

Faith is a lower version, 2.2 IIRC, with Revelation at 3.0. However, when I try to reconnect, I get "404 Server Not Found" as if Revelation had already infected and destroyed the server.
Is there any way to tell if Faith is already running without uploading and running Revelation?
EDIT: It seems that only sometimes do I get a 404. If I don't on reconnecting, Revelation is still there, but the same happens when I try to run it again. What's really interesting, however, is that this only happens to the ISS machines without proxy/firewalls. The other ISS machines infect very well.
Also, how much time are you supposed to have to do this? I get about ten minutes before Uplink disavows me.

Hmm. Just completed GrandTour, making sure I just infected the ISS machines with proxy/firewall. Cool little ending.
heh, i love the revelation ending... and running revelation locally... its fun and trying to save yourself with faith its all a good laugh...

Hmm... can Faith do anything to protect if it is only version 0.2? Because that's its current version. Revelation is currently at v3.0
How many systems do you have to infect with revelation before the internet goes critical? I've only been able to get about 7 red squares on map before i get disavowed. Not counting those that blinked red for a while then disappeared. And do you really need Revelation tracker? Because all it seems to do is count the ip/time infected of revelation infected servers...

If Revelation is a higher version than Faith, every system that has been infected will infect two others in about two minutes, then go down.
As for Uplink's disavowment, just keep going as fast as you can. ISS (Internal Services Systems) are the the easiest to hack, but, as above, make sure that they have a proxy and firewall before bothering to infect them. Eventually your gateway will get infected with Revelation and you'll "win".
Is this a bug (the proxy/firewall thing)?
