I don't even know what LANs are for. Do they beat security systems? What? I've got them all, but I don't know what to do with them.

Lan software is used while you are hacking lans, each of them does a specific job.
LAN's are servers, places, whatever you want to call them that are mazes of computer systems used throghout the game. They're funner places to hack than Internal services.
Back on topic: read my first post..

You can't make (="create") a LAN. just hack them.

I'm afraid you are incorrect there. You can mod your own LANs in. Go to modlink.net and check out their section on LAN mods.
