Well, I've been playing Uplink for about a week now and when I delete my logs I always delete EVERYTHING :redface: and from reading other stuff on this webboard I have seen that you are supposed to leave your most recent connection log. Am I screwed over or is ther some way I can fix this?
P.S. I have about 200+ different computers that I can hack into. I have been into them all once or twice.
P.P.S. I am on the Gateway computer that says it is untraceable.

1. No, just start only deleting your "Routed to..." logs. 2.good for you. 3.It is not untraceble anymore. i believe it was in an erlier version but it is not anymore and they did not change the description.

I delete those and also the entry about admin privs. I'm not sure it's necessary, but if I were tracing someone, I'd look for them, so I delete them.

The "Admin Logged On From 127.0.0.1" (or whatever the wording) MUST be deleted in later missions. Not necessarily on the earlier ones.

What do you use as your first bounce? do you do (E.X.) ~~>InterNIC~>BuchOfJumps~>Destination....Then you just go back to InterNIC and delete your logs there???You can also use Uplink Test Machine Instead...

I delete everything except the most recent connection log. I also use the Uplink Test Machine cause it gives you more a of a cushion on an active trace and because they don't care what you do there. Uplink could care less if you trashed the system (ooooooh... I think I'll try that :D). At InterNIC if you put it down under they'd shoot you. Anyway, thats just my opinion. There really isn't that much difference...

I DID try that..i crashed the uplink test server, and it gave the news story like it usually does..so im assuming if i hadnt of deleted my logs just like any other hack i wouldve gotten disaavowed..although it is kind of stupid...
Every time i create a new user(which isnt as frequent any more) i always retrieve the Uplink Test data, then go crash the Uplink Test System and then I delete my bounce logs. Essentialy nothing happens, although it is good practice on how to destroy a computer system
