Map node trouble

Im having trouble with the map. In level 1 of my world, it works fine, and once beaten goes straight to level 2. For level 2 the map node info seems fine, but when I beat it, it goes back to level 1. I was considering the problem might be on the sprite map, or I need to use some sort of sprite info thingy. Its getting really annoying and until its fixed, I cant release a beta of more then to levels.

I could spew forth the whole tutorial about nodes, but since you just have two levels, if you want to send them to me, I'll take a look.

I've got a hotmail e-mail, so you'll have to upload them somewhere. Feel free to remove the guts of the levels if you don't want me to see your beta.

Its not that I have two levels, its that I can only play two levels because once I beat level 2 it goes back to level 1, its the same no matter what level I put there. And by the way, you dont give your e-mail adress

I know, my e-mail is Oaks64@hotmail.com, but that e-mail can't accept most types of attachments, or anything over 1 MB. You'll have to upload it somewhere else if you want to me to take a look at it.

In any event, just be sure that your second node is really connected to your third. As you should, the third is connected back to the second, but it makes it hard to tell if the connection goes two ways.

Alternatively you could try looking on (url="http://"http://cybergran.ferazel.net/mapnodes.html") CyberGran's website(/url) for a detailed guide to Map Nodes by yours truly.

I'll compress it, it goes to about o.25 MB, sorry it took me so long to reply.

Yes, the link lizwiz gave has very detailed information on maps. Excellent work 🙂

Also, if you want to see an example of a working world map, you could download my level set (I'm really not trying to plug here...honestly). I've got 52 map nodes, and I think about every connection type is covered: two-way chain, splits, connections, and two exits from one level revealed simultainiously.
