I was starting to get bored with uplink( ) untill i found a new thing to do..i was just wondering if anybody else does this.....1.i log onto the global crimal database place 2. i do a random search just putting in a letter or something. 3. i use my quick eyes to catch names as they fly past(as it searches for my person) 4.If the person has NO charges i type in something like "High Tech Fraud" Or "Credit Card Fraud" then "Parole Broken" Then i get hi marrested. It's really fun to me. i also use this when i get one of those"Clear criminal history" missions..i clear his history(which sometimes is already cleared...lol) Then get my payola and THEN i do my process of getting him arrested, but i OBVIOUSLY skip steps 1, 2, and 3, because im already logged on and i already am in his file. Im just wondering if anybody else does this, or if anybody does anything else thats a little bit wierd like this???Thanks for your posts.

I once arrested every Uplink agent (except #4 ;)). That was fun, though i wouldn't do it again.
You know what the neat part is, is two names on the Rankings not being "In Jail"

Has anyone ever arrested the top Uplink agent before he was killed? I'd like to see what it does, and how it explains it...

It wouldn't be easy...you would jsut hafta keep arresting random people untill you had found which one was him. Since you cannot search by "uplink" names. wierd thing though...you can search for yourself with your "uplink" name, but all the others have thier real name...its just kinda wierd.
Wrong, you can get a list of every Uplink agent and their names (except #4). Except it would be hard to acquire that before he was killed....
do you get that by hacking into the uplink interal services system? and if yes: is it hard?

It isnt really THAT hard, but they do have all the highest security, to get into the admin you have to get past an elliptic curve thing (which is while they are tracing you, it comes after the password screen) so you gotta have a fast computer. Other than that, its about 50 gigaquads of stuff to operate this thing fully, so I made about 3 trips with my fully upgraded file server
i have the fastest computer available on unregistered, and i had a huge bunch of bounces, but i know i didnt have enough time to unlock the eleptical curve thingy.....i wish that damn thing was faster..or i wish there was a readwrite account, since those dont activate a trace.(incase you care...~~~:::>>>i ALWAYS use the readwrite account when hacking into the criminal database, the social security database, and the academic datebase.)
Fastest demo=sloow. I have a computer with 16 of the finest processors. Now THAT is quality. (Although I'm sure it's a bit overkill, but I wanted to try it out)
An idea: Couldn't you back up your file before the #1 agent was killed, continue playing till the #1 agent was killed, check his name, then restore your backup and search for his name then? (and get him arrested).
