Stealing from bank accounts

I completed several of the missions where you report on people's accounts. I have tried to simply transfer money to my account, but I was caught by a passive trace even after I deleted a log on the person's account and my log at InterNIC. What am I doing wrong? I really want the $2,512,362 I found in one of the accounts!

Delete the statements from their account AND the one you transferred the cash to, then delete the logs at internic.

What are some bank account numbers that you can hack to get money? i tried just 7 random numbers and when i tried to crack the code it just quit itself. are the numbers always the same each time you play or do they change?

I believe that they change everytime you play, but I'm not 100% sure. To get account numbers either accept missions where you need to check the balance/loan of somebody's account, the employers will give you the number. Alternatively, you can hack into the admin section of a bank (you must crack a code, get the admin's voice, and crack an ellipter curve cypher), here there are all the account numbers listed (with their passwords!).

o i see ok thx

I still keep getting caught! This is at least the twentieth time I've attempted this.

Here's what I did;

  • Connected to FreeService Intl. Bank through over 30 systems

  • Engaged Monitor Bypass 5 and Proxy Bypass 5

  • Filled out transfer order

  • Sent transfer to Uplink account

  • Deleted Statement from stolen account

  • Connected to Uplink Intl. Bank

  • Engaged Monitor Bypass 5 and Proxy Bypass 5

  • Deleted Statement from Uplink account

  • Connected to InterNIC (directly from gateway)

  • Deleted all Logs there

What should I do?

Try sending it to your account in FreeService's bank instead of your uplink account. Also, dont delete your connection log. I always do, but people say not to....Also, are you using log deleter version 4? Anything under it can be undeleted

EDIT--Tanis, I assume that was sarcasm, since it is a hacking game?

Yeah. Log Deleter 4. I'm going to try using my registered (not stolen :)) FreeService account with the stolen one when I get home tonight.

I'm not registered, but I'm pretty sure Bank Hacks are allowed...
