When you disable music, it also disables sound. Is there a way to disable only the music?
There's a file in Uplink's Addons, which says that it does this function. I downloaded it but I didn't had any sound at all (no music, no sound).

This issue has already been addressed at my topic, (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/Forum69/HTML/000032.html")here(/url).
Please, try and learn how to use the Search feature, eh?
By the way, there is currently no way to turn off the music and keep sound on in the Mac version.

(edit)Heh. TSB beat me too the submit button. I'll leave most of my post here anyway.(/edit)
This is a question that many have raised. You might want to read through a couple of the topics (especially the one about bugs) before posting questions. (edit)I remember there being a picture floating around, possibly made by forge, pointing out where the search feature is... Can't seem to find it, though.(/edit)
The file on the addons page, when I tried it, worked like you said. It has been speculated that if the standard music files were replaced with quiet ones, that would do what you describe: turn off the music without turning off the interface sounds. Apparently, this particular addon didn't work as intended (atleast not for me).

Umm... ya... sorry, there's only one forum that I normally visit that enforces people to use the search button. I thought it was ok just posting.
Don't need to be rude... eh?

It's OK to just post, though people get tired of answering the same questions repeatedly. So, just give it a quick search first, and if you don't find anything, then post

The music.dat addon worked for me on an older ibook running OS9, but that was the only system I could test it on before I posted it. It also works on the PC version, but the sound (as well as several other features) seems to have been ported strangely.

Alright. Ill download it and try to replace them with blank ones, since I had luck converting the uplink music to AAC....
