Will Uplink get more refined and faster?

I don't know how much development there will be on Uplink since it's just a port of a PC game. Will Ambrosia or Contraband be allowed to make improvements independent of the PC developer (forgot the name)? Maybe not add new features :frown: but perhaps at least make it faster and fix bugs? Right now the game has a LOT of frustrating problems (both bugs and just annoying features) and I don't want to spend money on a seemingly beta-quality release that won't get significantly better. In another thread, I made a long list of improvements that should be part of Uplink. If half of those happened, I'd lay down the cash right now. Someone informed me that it was up to the game developer to add features, so I should ask them... but if anyone knows how much more Uplink will be improved, I'd really appreciate it.

Contraband will certainly be allowed to come out with Mac fixes and patches. I doubt, however, that they will be able to add new features.

hmm, you do relise the reason why uplink has a few bugs dont you?
its because "1" person coded the whole thing and you have to admit he did a kick ass job despite the bugs

Whoa. Didn't have ANY idea that was the case. That's pretty über-1337.

Anyway, I think I'll still hold off registering until some bugs are fixed... I don't have much money right now. But thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Actually... The guy who programmed this port is also the person who is porting Nova to Windows. Even more impressive.
