Anyone know where I could possibly download the Uplink soundtrack (or convert the raw *.dat file into something iTunes can read)??

Well, I've been trying to figure out what software can read the music files as well, only for a different reason. The .dat files are simply zip archives. So take music.dat and unzip it. You end up with 6 .uni files. I need to get a silent .uni file of about the same average length of those. As for converting them. I think there are a couple programs that can convert .s3m (the parent file of .uni) to WAV files, so try looking for that.

Jericon if your looking for the silent .uni files to disable the music you can just delete them altogether to achieve the same effect. I don't particularly care for the music so thats what I have done.

I deleted them on my computer and all it did was crash. I thik I have an idea of why it did though. Why don't you submit your 'empty' music.dat file to the Add-Ons section?

I just deleted the entire music.dat file and it seems to be ok. An empty one might cause problems.
Stew is on a PC. Apparently, the converted version of Uplink doesn't allow one to delete the music.dat file. Well, you can, but the sound effects vanish as well for some reason.

Unfortunately I tried that and it comes up with an error message. So... once again I'm left to tryint to place silent .uni files in it.
I tried it on a Mac and it seemed to work. I will have to figure out what the deal is.
You guys do know that you can turn off the music in the options, right?

Unfortunatly it turns off sound effects too.

A few of the music files are in the Uplink Bonus DIsk, which is also available for download in the Uplink Addons section. Not all of the music is on there, however. I think a couple of the songs written especially for Uplink were not included.
