"immediate trace" problem

I use a v.4 log deleter on InterNEC, bounce through many banks that I have accounts at etc. but on 3 different characters now I reach a point where I am given no warning and traced IMMEDIATELY. Even when I have a Neutral rating. Also, this happens on this simplest novice missions. Can someone explain why this happens, please?

I'm also including mrxak's guide because many beginner questions, including my own, are answered here and the guide took me awhile to come across. (url="http://"http://www.modlink.net/guides.php")http://www.modlink.net/guides.php(/url)

(Just as a note, it's not my guide. Thanks anyway 🙂 -mrxak)

Which logs do you delete in InterNIC? You should only delete the "bounce" and "logged in as admin" ones.

Thanks for responding. I am absolutely deleting only the routing and admin. access logs on InterNIC. I've read through many posts on traces and haven't come across this issue, so it must be something peculiar I'm doing. Is there a version of pilotlog that we can post like on EVN?

I ran into a similar problem. I did a bank hack and became Uber-Skilled. I did a few more missions and decided to pay off my Uplink debt. So I connected directly to the bank I had earlier hacked and disconnected (and later disavoed) before I even got the chance to click the "manage existing account" button.

Are you running on Speedx3? I kept being instantly traced on that speed without noticing, oops

aha! Thank you. I'm still not sure what the x3 button is but, I realized that I wasn't turning the fast forward button off after looking for missions. Being picky really screwed me up!
