I have been deleting my logs at my first bounce (Uplink Test Machine) using the console after every single hack. Yet, still, Uplink tells me they've 'been informed'. Why do I keep getting caught? This is stupid and repetitive. I have lost over 12 user files because of this. I'm glad I didn't register...

Personally, I always delete the last several files, especially the logged in as admin, and all the file-access entries. The only major problem I have are the stupid proxies, for some reason I couldn't use the stupid bypass... Another one bites the dust... :frown:

Don't try changing the subject, please.
I deleted all the logs. I can see how you could probably get caught. But how the **** do I get caught?

Perhaps you aren't deleting them quickly enough? I gather that some sites do passive traces very very quickly (as in minutes). Having a lot of bounces (especially through government machines) should slow this down at least a bit.
Do you know who it was that tracked you?

What version Log Deleter are you using? Only version 4 acctually gets rid of it. All the other logs can be recovered by log undeleter

You shouldn't delete all logs. Just the bounce, and logged in as admin. If you delete the user connected log, it will still leave a disconnect log when you disconect. Having just a disconnect log on its own is a dead giveaway of log tampering.
Oh, and InterNIC is probably the best first bounce point, because the pass never changes, and they dont trace you.

You need to use Log deleter v4.0. Using the console is the equivilent of a 1.0 log deleter, which allows them to undelete it.

I've always deleted all of my logs on InterNic, and have never been caught (of course, I dissconnect completely from what I am on, connect to Internic, then delete them)
