Possible to take money...?

Is it possible to transfer money from someone else's account into your own?

ALso, do you have to clear the logs from every computer you connect through? THe most computers I have used at once is 24... that's a lot of logs.

Yes, you can rob people's accounts.

No, if you just delete the logs on one of your bounces you will be fine.

Will the logs on the target computer work? Or is the first bounce best?

It's better to get the logs from the first bounce (Internic or the Test computer work well for this). That way they are less likely to get to it before you do.

They will have already gone past the target machine in their passive trace on you. The closer to your gateway, the better when it comes to deleting logs.

You have been warned: More haikus are coming!!!

What you say MrXak makes absolute sense, and that's why the "Passive Trace Tips" confused me so much. I'm quoting from memory ~ "First, it is best to delete any logs on the target server." Now, because of this, I have been trying to delete logs from BOTH the Target Server and InterNIC. Can I stop bothering with the Target Server? Thanks, all of your help is much appreciated.

------------------

No, if you are going to rob bank accounts, you have to delete all the logs of the transfer on the account you are stealing from, as well as your own... what works almost all the time is to create an account of yours in the same bank that you are hacking. then break into annother person's account and transfer all the money to yours. once you do that delete the logs, but DO NOT disconnect. if you do, you will get busted by the feds. before you disconnect, login to your own account and transfer the money to your origional account (the Uplink one) delete the logs of all the transfers, and you should be home free....

The passive trace includes the tip on removing data from the target machine so you cover up the tracks on what you have been doing there. That includes, but is not limited to, bank fiddling.

For example, when you edit a record in the Criminal Database, it will leave a record behind (if I'm not mistaken) that you changed that criminal record. That doesn't do much good as, if the slate's then clean, the Feds will know there was something there. So, while the sysadmins are busy tracing you through your bogus hops, you should remove all traces of what you've actually been doing. The bounce log removals are for your security, while the target machine logs are for a job well done.
