Connect to IRC?

How do you connect to the IRC client? I click on the emoticon button, fill in all the fields, but I don't see anything like a "connect" button. What do I have to do?

The connect button is on the lower right.

You are probably running at a (relatively) low resolution. Try upping the resolution to 1024x768 and you should be able to see the connect button.

If you are running uplink in a window, even at that res. it won't show up.

I am experiencing the same problem.

Got a question? (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/ubb/search.cgi?action=intro&default;=6")Search(/url) first.

Hmmm... I switched it to 1024x768 resolution, and now whenever I try to start the program it quits because of a "type 2 error".

Try it in 800x600.

You are running OS9 then? This may be a bug as it came up in a recent topic (http://www.ambrosias...TML/000092.html) or it could be a VRAM issue. IIRC, Upling uses OpenGL rendering so you may not have enough VRAM for such a rendering. 800x600 is a good try and 16-bit colour is a good insurance. To launch uplink, trash the "options" file from "users". That will, however, cause Uplink to require you to create a new agent upon launch.

Good luck.
