Uplink port finished???

Ok, this is really weird. Macgamer has just posted an article ( (url="http://"http://www.macgamer.com/news/item.php?id=6864")http://www.macgamer....tem.php?id=6864(/url) ) saying that Contraband has just declared Uplink finished (finished=gold master, right?). And indeed it does say "done" on Contraband's website ( (url="http://"http://www.contrabandent.com/products.html")http://www.contraban...m/products.html(/url) ). But it also says that it's going to take more than 3 weeks (May 26) until we can get our hands on this game. What's up? If it's finished, why isn't it downloadable? Or is that date given just for CD duplication? I'm very confused (but very excited as well). Someone please clear this up! Thank you

I bet it's just for time to set up servers to carry the downloads, make CDs of the game, and write press releases.

Introversion need to do a CD/Manual/Packaging run and distribute to the shops. We are giving a dual release, hence the delay. However, Uplink is still being tested for last minute bugs. It will be with you soon enough.

Any chance for an early (downloadable) release for us dedicated web board folks, ala windows deimos rising? Perhaps after final testing is done but before all of that packaging/shipping stuff is done. That would be super-spiffy Anyway, I can't wait for the release

Just got this from Introversion:

At some point I read that they would have a simultaneous release. Maybe because of Memorial day in the US (holiday in the states), Introversion postponed their release date???
