I always pronounced it (in my head anyway) as Mister Ex-Ak. Oh well. Good show.

Uhh... Maybe a bit less advocation of the search feature compared to the Nova Board would be nice. Although it won't be so much of a problem here. It is a fact that virtually every problem there has already been answered once, and linked to the appropriate topic 12 times :rolleyes:

I'm not a huge advocate of the search feature. A mention of it in my sig is about all it gets. If something is on the front page, I'll tell them to look. Otherwise, I let it go. Honestly. If all I simply did was give a link to the question being answered in the past and then locked the thread that would give us a few very long threads and that's about it...

My personal feelings on the search feature is that those that are smart will use it, but those that aren't shouldn't be yelled at. If the answer is so simple, then just type it quickly and help them out. A suggestion to search next time, or to search for greater details is fine, but at very least give them a hint first.
