Has anyone released mods that change the HECTOR's apearance without being embeded in a special level?

Other then Aftershock, no because if the shape of the hulls were changed, it would cause frags because of how the collision detection works.

A very untrue statement Tych. There have been at least 5 that I know of, and 1 that I know of that was never released (it was made by me). So, in answer to Talm's question, yes, there are mods that change the HECTOR's appearance.
However, Tycho does have a good point. All players on the server must have the same mod to keep the game from fragmenting. So, make sure you, and whoever else plays with you, has the modified copy of avara, and are using it at the same time.

What were the other one that changed the hull shapes? (Other then Plasic Chicken's)
