Oh, how I wish that there were always games going on in the tracker...

Why are people not playing this much anymore? I used to go on and see servers everywhere, filled with eager players. I would always get mad when servers were too full for me to play. Oh, how I long for those days. Now I struggle to find servers. :frown:

i think they should make a modernized sequel to Avara, cuz it was hella cool, but not without its problems... like for instance moving the mouse and still walking in the other direction; i wish you could change it so you moved in whatever direction you were facing. it would also need modern graphics of course

Planet Buster: at that point, you might as well make a quake mod... Avara was a cool game from the fact that you can't sidestep, and that you can walk in one direction, while face and fire in another. Avara is cool because of the fact that it wasn't like all the other shooters that have been made, and that have been made these days. The only game that I see that might compair with Avara, is Mechwarrior. Yet, MW still does not compair, because Avara takes the fast paced gameplay of Quake, and mixes it with the movement of MW, and combines it into a fine balance. Avara is fine the way it is.

Some kind of MacOS X version with updated graphics would be sweet. If it were compatible with the original as well as being able to play an updated version with othe OS X users, everybody can be included and maybe we can get people to play this game again and once again I can have fun over my wimpy phone connection. That's what I love about Avara. It has a very efficient net code, so even someone on a 14.4 can get a decent game. Let's hear Quake or Unreal claim that!
