Character Sprites Problems

In (url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/mdwgmalc/")Malcolm's World(/url) (I like doing that, don't I?), I'm trying to add custom character sprites, but I've hit a problem. Again. Originally the characters didn't show up, then LizWiz told me that only characters with IDs under 2969 (inclusive) will appear in the game. I thougt this would sole my problem, and, sure enough, it did... But it caused another one. :frown: The sprites are 'doubling up' like this:

I don't know at all what's up. :frown:

From the left, these are the IDs and names:

1. 2966 - 'Council Commander'
2. 2967 - 'Council Sergeant'
3. 2968 - 'Rebel Commander'
4. 2969 - 'Rebel Sergeant'

Can anyone help me? :frown:

Unlikely, sir. They spell and pronounce their names differently. -- Mr. Smithers

That's what ne of my testers said. 🙂 in another of my levels the Council Commander (2966) had a blue hooded figure on top of him. I have no clue what's going on! :frown: 😕

It's not quite that simple PCheese. I've been looking at Malc's problem and it only occurrs when there is another talking sprite in the level. When there is it appears where it should do and it also appears behind the new sprite. Masks just show you part of a figure if they are wrong. (been there done that)

This is wierd and only happens with the two standing sprites there's no trouble with the sitting ones.

You are absolutely right PCheese - It was the masks. For some reason they were copied into Mascot in Photoshop format not pict. They worked fine in Mascot but wouldn't translate into the game.

Thanks!
