I'm just wondering. How popular is Avara, anyway? I know about the Tracker stats and all that, but isn't there a better measuring stick? Like, how many people have actually registered Avara? Granted, Ambrosia probably won't ever tell, and since they aren't crazy about doing an Avara 2, it means that not enough people have registered it. Does anyone have an idea of how many people have registered Avara? I don't know how you'd know, I'm just curious.
BTW, registering is cheap right now; so if you haven't, think about it.

Well i don't think very many people have registered after that hacked reg program was made that let u use any name u wanted with out a reg code.

Well, Ambrosia now has an engine that they dont know what to do with (since Ben quit, and he was teh main programmer for "Ragnarok"), and I say they should use it to rejuvinate Avara!@# Andrew even says "we are simply trying to figure out what to do with it" (the engine). Why not an avara 2? all the owuld have to do is change the coding slightly (either add the hectors, or change the planes into hectors), and add a few models. If they dont, they are insain... But seeing as how they went the Windows rout (sellouts), I don't care how the company goes. If they made an Avara 2, I would register/buy it. If they don't, I"ll stick with a UT mod...

Hey vader,
if all you can offer is to rag on Ambrosia about every little thing, why don't you stick to posting on avara.org. That's what that site is for.
Here we offer help. Take the words of advise I offer.
(later on) Ok- sorry. Had a bad day - but really Vader - you proclaim to want to be helpful - why don't you try and show it a bit.

I doubt they would tell, but they did post registered percentages and Avara was second from last? I think Chiral was last (and even I played and registered that one.)

Registering was always cheap, but February 19th-26th was shareware amnesty week, where you could have registered Avara for $10.

I've owned Avara for a long time now, and I usually only play it multiplayer. We have three computers with Avara, so me and my brothers like to hammer away at each other...Multiplayer is a blast.

wow... Ragnarok's over? I didn't notice... oh well. It would be awesome if they used that engine for Avara, but I don't think it will happen.

I'm bummed to hear that Ragnorak's on hold (at best) since their lead programmer seems to have left. I was really looking forward to playing it. The screenshots were luscious, to say the least.
Wait wait... Who's Ben? Who's made lvls? send it all to me (including picts, lvls, tricks, movies, u got it, I'll take it!).

Some ppl think that intelligent life will communicate with us someday... I think that all intelligent life is trying to stay away...
Sometimes I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.
