I can't get the scout view to follow H.E.C.T.O.R.

Hellooo. Anybody there? Everyone replies to everyone else and not me. I'm never respected. No wonder newbies don't like it here. No wonder it's so deserted.
say it in more detail... the scout should automaticaly follow you if that's why oyu meen...
I press the key to activate the scout view and the scout view won't follow H.E.C.T.O.R. It just stays in one place.
Try mucking with your keyboard layout. Scout view should only have one function on it.

"Try mucking," he says. Explain what mucking means.
I do only have one function for Scout View(it's "s" incase you were wondering).
There are two typical reasons that scout view won't move: 1. If you program "Scout Control" and "Look Forward" on a single key, pressing that key will deploy the scout and leave it sitting still. Many experienced players do this as soon as a game starts, since that generally leaves the scout up in the air, giving you a nice bird's eye view of the playing area.
2. When your scout is destroyed, pressing the "Scout view" key will result in your viewpoint freezing, while your HECTOR keeps moving. It's difficult to describe.
For what it's worth, having your scout follow you around is very likely to get you killed during a net game. It's more or less like having a big sign floating above you that says "Fire grenades here."
It can be helpful in some solo levels, though.

WOW This thing just screwed up it was like your, and then 3 pages later Username and the same for password!!! Anyhoo, the scout veiw isn't that usefull except in bobs fort. Something cool to do is go straight to the part where you finish the level and get into the tower thing, you can sniper 7 guys with the zoom function, they can't shoot at you and you finish it snappy. I like the zoom function and only found it a bit ago. Not to handy for net games but.

There is a third reason why the scout view isn't working right: There is an undocumented key (default 5) that when pressed will cause the scout view to act as if the scout had just died where it was when you pushed the button. If you can see your scout from the scout view, this is what happened. Simply push the 5 key and then push the view keys again.
