If you are using an emulator such as basilisk can you do multiplayer stuff? My friend just installed a 10 MB per sec LAN and that would be some sweeeet Ares multiplayer if it would work. If someone could tell me, that would be great. Thanks!

Hmmm... Well I'll drag this one back to the top of the board again - I still don't know the answer. I wonder if anyone knows.....
Come visit the (url="http://"http://nova6.pautsch.com/forum/intro.lasso")Nova6 Webboards(/url).
Considering most of our board members use Macs, the question has probably never arisen for them, so I rather doubt you'll find help here.
And as for the emulator question- I am afraid I have no idea. Ambrosia does not cover emulator-related stuff for its products, and with good reason. It's confusing and earns them nothing.

Yes, well...
Do you think I might try asking Warbeast? I wonder if he might know. It might be beneficial to Ambrosia to make an Emulator FAQ - organized by a few members who use them. If a PC user downloaded PoG, say, and it piqued their interest in other Ambrosia products, Ambrosia might make a few more bucks by having some links and some answers. Maybe someone should suggest it to Moki. Well, it doesn't really affect me, I have a Mac - it's mainly my friends I wanted to know for. Well, I guess I'll scout around the net a bit. If you know the answer though, don't hesitate to post!
I'm pretty sure the answer to your questions is 'no'

Well, it was just a wish.
Hey, thanks Patrick, I'll give that a try.
I think there is a PoG for Windows.

Oh yeah, there is. Coldstone packages its games in three forms: Pre-OS X Mac, OS X Mac, and Windows - Maybe 98 above (not sure on that one). But there is definitely a windows version.
Oh, and thanks Patrick - a person on their boards is saying that Basilisk II has networking capabilities. Now I have to figure where to get the ROM file, how to set the emulator up, and how to get it to network. Hopefully the board members there can help.
I remember seeing a guide somewhere to get Internet working on Basilisk (my brother actually got Appletalk working)...though my connection at home is far too slow to support a multiplayer game; maybe when I go to college I'll try that out (hopefully somebody's still playing Ares then)...

Ask on B&B; lot's of people use basilisk or executor for EV. True, that's not networked, but with a bunch of them there someone will probably know how to do it.
