At the add-ons page. Certin plug-ins links take me to pages with all this gibberish. A lot of Slug's plug-ins and 1 or 2 others do this. When I hit option click it just saves the gibberish to the Ares folder.
Also, when I download It's War I can't find it. It just disappears

Just had a quick look through the add-ons, and I couldn't find any 'pages of gibberish' when I click on links, even with files submitted by Slug, so I'm guessing that maybe it's something odd with your browser?
Try deleting your browser cache... It is the common cause of such problems.

It's War definitely works as a download. I tested it myself I did! (on Netscape, IE, and Sun Microsystems browsers). Check that you ar using version 5.5 or greater of Stuffit Expander. Also, if the name of the file you have downloaded appears very long to the extent that there is no longer room for the .sit to be at the end of it, try re-naming the file something short, "34.sit" for example. This sometimes "fixes" a damaged download...
------------------ Oh, so it is another bug hunt then...

Yes. It is somewhat like history, yet different...
Go to your preferences (if you are using Internet Explorer), go to "advanced," and hit the "empty now" button located next to the cache information.

This happened to me as well. The solution is to control-click the link and choose from the available options, 'download link to disk', assuming you do not want to change your cache.
