#+ The UNS, still an incompetent bureaucracy at hard, had become emboldened by the destruction of the Cantharan Gateship at your hands. Overriding the sound advice of their generals, they had launched a suicidal military campaign to "finish off" the Catharans. The Cantharans were caught off guard without their Gateship to rapidly relocate their fleets from other parts of the farflung Cantharan Order, and the seemingly suicidal offensive actually made some headway. But with all the meager resources of the UNS committed to the offensive despite the protests of the generals, we had no defense when the slumbering Prophets of Salril unveiled their true power.
#+1114 Angered by the assaults on their allies, puppets, or perhaps even masters, the Prophets of Salril once again launched their battle flleets, marking the date of the first major military campaign by the Prophets since their subjugation of the Audemedon Axis in 1416.
#+ Needless to say, the token defenses of Earth were crushed. The invading fleets then turned their guns towards Earth itself. Withering under a bombardment of antimatter and thermonuclear weapons, Earth was reduced to rubble in a few hours.
#+ Now, the remnants of the UNS fleet-with you in command-must fight their way out of the territory of the Order and try to salvage as much of the savaged human race as you can. The fate of humanity once again rests on your shoulders Commander-weยre counting on you.

Hmmm. The grey is a touch too light, the mottling a touch too obvious. Tone down the purple a little bit in saturation... and it should be just about right.
Quite a nice design, overall.

Yeah, I intentionally made the grey a little brighter than the standard Salrelian vessels, do to the fact that they show up extremely dark on an iMac moniter. In fact, I viewed the graphic on my own iMac, and you could barely see the entire back section...
I will give the modelling some extra attention. Salrelian vessels are more sleek, and this has some rather obvious basic shapes.

Patrick: I've never created Ares sprites before, so it might be awhile before I get it / them to you. While we're on the issue, how many frames would you like for the sprites?
