I am afraid I am trying to lower the number of beta testers. Zelda and MonsterLady are doing fine by themselves.
Extemporaneous 0.5 will be released today as long as I can deal with the Add-on page. That thing is giving me troubles. I am done with the world it is just posting it that is taking time.
------------------ Chalmers: Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? A this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen? Skinner: Yes. Chalmers: May I see it? Skinner: No.
Oh well.
I can't wait to play.
Did you mean to do these?
1. In the first level, there is a ledge leading to a water area that you cannot climb up. You CAN jump from the other side, so it isn't a big deal.
2. In the second level, there are 2 doors that I can't open... the make the SOUND (continually, as if there were a million doors on top of each other), but don't change the picture or let you through. It is after the glider area.
The first level and a part were fun so far, though!

Don't know what you mean about 1, however 2 is not a bug.
Glad you like them.

I just realized that Extemporaneous is currently the largest world available to download.
Just thought I would throw that out there, correct me if I am wrong.
7 levels is now the most.
(Too bad Tall will crush that easily ;))

I know, but I believe in quality over quantity.
Yesterday, I went back and played the Ben's cavern level's. They are really good. And I see all my levels have much more room for improvement, mainly in the beauty department.
I have already started work on my first level, making it less linear, and adding BG Tiles, ligthmaps and Scenery. I will then progress forwards through all my levels, making then more pleasing to the eye.
I have also deceided to make several changes in Flight and Plight. Currently, you receive far to many fireseeds, and you have a potential to leave with extra keys. This can make MMT easier.
Once I am satisfied with the current levels I will make:
Perilous Peaks Creepth Upon the Earth Those two levels will be placed in between already existing levels.
The levels which will follow the Gauntlet are:
Illusion of Reality Tower of Perplexity Hall of Crapulence Maxwell's Silver Hammer* End Game*
*Title tenative
So I guess, I am half way done with my world. Actually, there will probaly be a secret level. Meaning that I my completion ration is: 7/15
I do not plan to release anymore levels to the public until I am finished. I could be done around September or Christmas, I am not sure.
I look forward to working on Illusion of Reality- that is going to be a very tricky level.
aren't they all.
Creepth Upon the Earth is going well. Here is how I would describe it: 2(River of Fears) + Storm Valley = Creepth Upon the Earth This is a great level of biblical proportions. It is similar to both MMT and Scorched Earth. I hope to post a screenshot or two tommorrow.
Creepth Upon the Earth: 10% complete
Hey! Where's:
"back to Creepth Upon the Earth for me?"
Bet that sounds different

I have decided to hold off on posting a screenshot, until more is completed. However, it is looking very nice. I will change the formula though, River of Fears + Magical Mystery Tour + Storm Valley + The Orginality and High Quality Game Play You Have Come To Expect = Creepth Upon the Earth
Creepth Upon the Earth is going well, 62.23% done. I have been experiencing some setbacks due to spinblocks, but, I have found a way to work around the problem. This Thursday, I will be fleeing the country and heading North to escape the Bush Regime. After things cool down (probably around the 29th) I will return to the land of the brave and the home of the free.
So in a few weeks I will be ready to send Creepth Upon the Earth to beta. I will ask them where it should be placed, because it is very hard, and currently my favorite level of my own.
I have returned! And just when I thought my creative juices were dry... Voila! Well I was soking up Canada's majesty, glory, and great px backgrounds, I drew out the plans for several new levels.
Midnight Run To follow MMT and proceed Scorced Earth After reading Charles Grodin's memoir I felt I needed to do something to honor him. So how about a 2-3 minute run through the blackest night in a evil forest?
L' Enfer Congele To follow MMT and proceed Famuese A deadly ice level inspired by my journeys around the treacherously slippery Roche of Perce (a wonderful vacationing spot.)
Ketzerverbrennung To follow Scorched Earth Enter into the heart of darkness where the walls are lite with the burning of the innocent.
Valley of the Shadows To follow Ketzerverbrennung The level is just in the rough stages of conciousness, more as it develops in the mind of a genius. Chance to make: 80%
Untitled To follow Valley of the Shadows Ever been in a volcano? Chance to make: 20%
Triptych To follow Maxwell's Sivler Hammer (title tenative) Leap into danger and face a triple threat in an effort to recover Maxwell's Silver Hammer.
Normandy (title tenative) To follow Halls of Crapulence Begin the final effort to destroy the Mandraki forces with the help of your allies.
Plains of Despair To follow Normandy Led the invasion on Mandraki soil.
The Final Battle (title tenative) To follow Plains of Despair The Hamlet-esque end of Extemporaneous.
This means I now plan to have 20+ levels (including a truly secret level.)
So the good news is: I am back and with a bunch of new ideas. Including a dramatic ending, a more detailed plot, a bundle of new characters to meet.
Bad news is: *A whole lot of work for me, besides the other things which beg for my attention. *I am thinking about holding new levels until Christmas for the final release, if I make that deadline. *I started Dune. It is very good. Must return to Arrakis. Farewell, for now....
Good to hear you had a good vacation, Ent. I'm ready to do more Beta testing whenever required. (Have finally found 100% on all levels in the current release of Extemporaneous & Spamguy's Basic Nothingness, so ready for more challenges!)
------------------ It is better to remain silent and be thought an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. (I wish I could remember this before posting!)
I also thought I would announce something else here. Once I complete Extemporaneous I will begin work on a completely new Ferazel's Wand World based on the Odyssey. It will have new bosses, monsters, characters, and adventures.
Creepth Upon the Earth is now complete. I will give it one run through and then send it to my faithful beta testers and cat99, who wanted to see a level like this. I really like this level, it may become my new favorite. It has lots of great gameplay and a good story with good conversations. Hopefully, this test goes well.

I have been on vacation & at camp & am going to camp AGAIN so shortly that there is no point in me trying to test. Also, my Ferazel has stopped functioning, so I have been forced to rely on other games for sustenance. But lo, do not despair! I should be back with the problem fixed in about two weeks, ready and eager to test! (By the way this is really me, just at a friend's house.) So long till then!

Glad to hear it!
The last test did not go as well as I hoped. Not as bad of testing as the Gauntlet (That was verrrry difficult to testΒa lot of fatal bugs which halted gameplay.) but there were some crucial problems. I have to fix most of the spinblocks. It appears that all the color spinblocks do not work in the game. Errrrr

Hmmm.... Maybe you might want to replace ferazel_09 with someone?
