No. However, it is possible to have up to two computer players in net scenarios in addition to the two human players.

I'm sure that humans can go against comps, especially with the new Hera Scenario Editor! I'm working on making one myself! But I think that with the "vast" universe of Ares, there should be a patch for more players. Perhaps I can help out--I'm off this summer!

Well, I've seen such plugins, but you could also just attack the other player just for the hell of it. I'm sure there is a way to fix this, but me and my (on) crack plugin development team are tied up in my newly continued work, tactical wars.
