When I was building my game I got an error saying "Error Compiling Data: 1". What does this mean?

That probably means one of the following: 1. There is an error in your code 2. Something is wrong in the Game settings panel 3. Data used by your game was removed from the game folder of renamed (i.e. you change your grass.png file to cool_grass.png).
Check for all of these and it should be better. I've heard it happen once before, so you can also try a search for the information. Good luck with it!

I seem to have narrowed it down to my portraits folder. when I move the portraits out of the folder it compiles fine. I cheaked all of the Portraits out in the Launch and they all seem fine. Is there any special format that Portraits use as opposed to the normal pictures?

I figured out the problem. The file names are too long on the player portraits.

For all of our sakes, could you tell us how long the can be?
Off hand they likely follow the old Mac naming convention, which was 22 characters, renaming a files via the interface with long names causes a bug as well, if memory serves.
