This may be a stupid question, but I wanna know!
• How do I make a NPC drop an item when it dies?

On the NPC editor is a tab marked "map" and the last entry there is "death"- - edit. Click this and an event box comes up where you place the sound the creature makes, or items it drops, or call another event, etc. In other words, anything you want to happen when the creature dies.
I once heard someone say, "No question is stupid if you don't know the answer." Most of the members here might consider the question elementary, but don't hesitate to ask. We've all been there once and most of us have asked things that everyone else seems to know. And now you do too. ~RD

RD is right. To leave an item every time for this NPC, you would use Launch item. This lets you pick the item to be left and/or random item. Actual postion in this dialog (launch item) means where the monster dies. Also you don't need to worry about removing the monster, Coldstone will take care of that for you. Dropped gold is put in - on the first tab (stats - box marked 'Reward' ) as well as experience (unless you have ranged weapons like spells or bows). Hope your questions is answered.
