I did a search and did not find anything that addressed this. I created a potion that works by splashing it at enemies. I have the item-calls-a-spell checked. In the spell, I tried different animations. Whether I use bullet or hit target, the same thing happens. The animation never leaves. It goes to the enemy and when killed the animation stays at that spot on the map. The player man walks over, scoops up his gold, and walks away. If I come back later, the effect is still spinning in the same place. I was using the standard fx_anim files that show as your choices. I notice all the Trinity spells with animations use files ending in .cam.

I don't know why it does this, but I've had this happen to me before as well.
My solution was to just stick a blank white frame at the end of the animation. The animation stays on the screen but, being white, it will be transparant and thus invisible.

On the last frame edit it to 5-kill myself. The amimation should go away.
