Stone Bridge IMAGE....Look... :-)

Hello people, here are two images of my stone bridge. Colors seem right. Lighting looks good. Should work fine.

Any comments or critiques will be greatly appreciated.

I'm planning on making a whole set of Village images including a fountain, and a few buildings. These will be made out of stone and will appear "nicer" than the default village images on the CS CD. I'm in the process of getting both these bridges and my shed images stuffed to put up on the addons page.

Good pictures. REALLY good. You know of course that we only need the bridge not the background?

I can't wait for more.

Just trying...

Can you smooth out the front end of that top bridge picture? Ie, as you look at the front edge of it it appears to be a large block of stone, probably 2-3 feet high! Can you smooch that out so it joins to the ground fairly flat? I wouldn't think that a bridge would be designed that you'd have to step up onto... that would seriously hamper wagons and the like. 😉

Damn Asylum, you got some skills. 🙂 God, I hate smileys.

I'll work on that front end.

And I put the images over grass/water, etc. to show them "in-use" for a sense of scale and to see how they match with the existing graphics. The finals that end up in the addons section are pict files (and have been tested ;-).

Thanks for the feedback, all. I'll have more images today....

They don't really look like they fit to me, almost looks superimposed, for one reason only. The graphics in Pillars of Garendal don't have much (if any at all) foreshortening from front to back. The only foreshortening the game uses is from the ground up. So like, a large stone tile would look like a perfect square. The northern edge would be the same size as the southern edge. Now, if you had a large stone block , the bottom face would still be a perfect square, as would the top face, but the top face would be larger. If you need some images of what I'm talking about, I'd be more than happy to whip some up.

However, the design of your bridge is great.

I haven't seen any of your other images other than the fountains. The reason those fit in is because you can't really tell if there's south to north side foreshortening, them being cylindrical and all. Great quality objects, but bad choice on foreshortening.
