Start-up problems

When launching/testing a game CS loads the start-up screen designated, flashes, and then the links do not work, along with the music not playing. It isn't frozen though, since quitting through the apple key still works. Also, i downloaded CS about a year ago and it worked fine, got rid of it eventually because i needed memory, and then the last two times I've downloaded it it's been doing this. Anybody know what may be going on? Thanks.

Well something is still wrong...turns out the screen is duplicated or something in a slightly different spot where you just see a white blank background....to work the links you need to click where they'd be one the blank one. wierd.
