I have a few problems!!! (1) I have made an NPC with the animation that comes for a hero...but when i put it in a map it will not appear...i gave him a weapon...he didnt appear..i took it away, he still didnt appear....does n e one know what i need to do? (2)i made two civilian type characters, and they DO show up on the map, but my problem is that i cannot get them to attack.... (3)In my game my character sometimes moves slow, and sometimes moves really slow..i think it might just be because of lag, but i dont know... (4) also sometimes( it didnt happen before but it started and wont stop) when i move side to side on the screen it makes strange lines...i dont really know how to explain it...but i saw a picture of it somewere on here....it like layers that page sorta...or folds it over.
Thanks In Advance

I Fixed #'s (1) and (2)...
-adding subtracting aa weapon makes no difference - in the map editor make sure the < <<PLAYER>>>> layer is above all the landscape layers etc. -did you create custom art for the player. -all picts to be used in CGE should be in 16bit color, no jpg compression, 72dpi nothing more no less -the player must be transported to the map using a map position axtion, else the player will be teleported to the map but will be in capable of moving. -the speed can be adjusted using the attribute wizard function, this however is not likely to be your problem. -your graphics may not be optimum; ie tiled, in squared porportions, too many colors, large animated pngs in the background...etc. -you may need to allot your game more memory. -it maybe relaed to your processor/graphics chip/open applications etc. -your graphics may have become misaligned at some point, use the snap to grid when placing non ground tiles to the grid -etceteraa so forth ad nauseum.

... That staples it.
I ported that i already fixed the character ones ( #'s (1) and (2) ) but thanks anyways! I will try to allot more memory...what is a reasonable amount?
Ummmmm, this is probably really easy, but i just dont know how....HOW do i change the amount of alotted memory....i go to gane options, and where it says memory, i change it there, but when i go back in it is changed back....
-did you perchance forget to press ok instead of cancel. -apple+i still changes the memory(in preOSX)
no i did press OK....might it have something to do with the fact that i didnt register?

NEVER build anything of any significant value with the demo. I needn't go into the details...the evidence abounds
