help with sprites

there are so many people on the board (including myself) who keep asking for someone to do graphics for them, and so little people willing to do it ofr them.

because of this problem, i've decided to learn how to draw and animate my own sprites. However, I found that I have no idea how to go about doing this. if someone could tell me of a program for doing sprites or give me some tips on how to do them i would be very thankfull,

Photoshop is good for graphics. If you'd like I can send you some stuff I did, or just check out my site logo: (url="http://"http://www.evula.org/cha0s")www.evula.org/cha0s(/url) (the logo is at the top of the screen.

If you want people, use a 3D app and create your own, or use Poser. Do a search and find a thread entitled need poser by me for a free alternative. It's not released yet, and will require OS X, but from what i've seen of the app, it smokes Poser (the preview looks better than rendered images in poser). For other graphics programs, search for those too, there are many free apps out there, but it will take some (ok, a LOT) work to create, bone and animate people. (url="http://"http://www.cgtalk.com")www.cgtalk.com(/url) gave away about a dozen or more free 3d characters, these will work, but will need to be textured, boned and animated. The other alternative is to search sites like (url="http://"http://www.idevgames.com")www.idevgames.com(/url) for content, as well as the coldstone add-on files.
