Coldstone thinks my plugin is a game

Hey,

Coldstone thinks my plugin is a game and therefore builds it as a game application. Any thoughts on how I can get it to think that it is indeed a plugin?

When you originally created the plug-in did you specify that it was a plug-in?

Ie, at the very beginning it asked you if it was a midievil game, plug-in, or template. Did you select plug-in, then browse directories to locate the main game that it was a plug-in for?

It is my Bankers plugin (I finally got around to updating it; amazing isn't it  ). So yes it was specified as a plugin when it was created.

No offense. It's just that this problem crops up all the time. You choose the "Load plugin data..." menu item from the Project > Game Plugin menu, then choose the plugin data file (it should be a text file, inside the intended game's Plugins folder) for the game which your plug-in is based upon. It will reload the plug-in data and you'll be back to having a working plug-in.

It's a valid question, and not an often asked one. There are enough problems around here with the engine itself to build animosity between community members.

I didn't know that!!!

Whenver CS made my plugin a game (every time I opened something else, then came back to it) I created a new plugin and moved everything from the old folder to the new. This makes things a lot easier!!!

Let's be nice...

Gallandro,

Yeah, build your plug-in data back into your plug-in using the method that Cafalllll mentioned. This problem will occur whenever you switch to a different game/plug-in within Coldstone as it will not know where the plug-ins source data is located and thus thinks it is a stand alone application.

Thanks for the tip Cafalll, but next time, try not to be so blase about it.

All right, I apologize (to all except stray). Sorry to be rude.
