Hello all, this is Smodis, once again returning to the halls of the forum. Well, first of all I'd like to apologize to all I may have offended during my last post, ineptly titled "Coldstone is Pathetic." This statement I soon realized, is not true at all. Coldstone is a wonderful (if unpolished) tool for a simple, down to earth action rpg. Thought its possibilities are not endless it is nevertheless just what some of us are looking for. It is not a generic tool, however, and it will never be able to please everyone. I realized this upon reading through the forum after being absent for so long. All I can say is that though I may not be producing my game, so near to completion, and I may never even consider completing it, I will still be giving out input and suggestions and new material.
One of these is my half abandoned project, "House Builder." For all of those who have seen the houses on the Coldstone CD, but wanted more, this is the answer. Spliced from all of the house images, it displays many different variety of roofs, chimneys, lean-to's, etc. Its only limitation as of now is that it will only display houses facing forward. Well, in reality, it was made to display "important" houses, and what important house faces sideways???
More projects such as this to help people without that much time or patience (as I once was- thus I got frustrated with Coldstone) realize their game-making dreams. It is being uploaded as I am typing this.
Once again, I apologize to those I may have offended, and hope I will be accepted once again within this forum.

Welcome back!
Thanks for taking the time to upload your creations. I'll take a look once they finish uploading and move them over for general consumption.

Smodis, what format is that file in?
I downloaded and expanded it but it just comes up as "House Builder Web" but it has no extension and I'm not entirely sure what to do with it.
Also, I'd email you about it but you have no email address listed...
Sorry for the confusion, Stark (mostly on my part.) What I did is I took the contents of the folder that the files were in and put them in Contact Pro, saved them and made them a .hqx format, as i said on the upload page. Try opening them with that program.
For future reference, my email is smodis_productions@hotmail.com
Thanks

Ahh, thats the problem. Contact pro compressed items can not be opened on a PC. As some people(like me) do their graphics and other work on a PC, I'd like it if you can recompress with something else. I'd suggest Stuffit from Aladdin Systems. It is a free application and will compress in either .sit or .hqx or both if you so choose(though just .sit is fine).
Would you mind doing this and reuploading?
If so I'll delete the file so you can reupload it. If not then it won't be viewed until sometime tonight when I have access to my mac or when Tarn logs on and views it.
Ok, Stark, I'm doing that. But could you cut and paste the description? I really dont want to type that all over again : D

Yep. I fully agree that that is the worst part of uploading a file!
I've e-mailed you your description. You can either c&p; it yourelf or just upload the file and I'll do it.
Thanks!
