When I try to compile the Tutorial game (no changes made except the name), it says it can't find StartGame.cet.

You need to continue to do the tutorial. The game will not compile until your make this file. Despite what the tutorial says, you haven't made the necessary file yet. (That comes a few paragraphs later.) Just keep doing the tutorial. I don't have a copy of the tutorial here with me. I just remember running into that problem myself. Just keep going and the game will work. In other words, the bug is in the tutorial and not in the game engine. (Don't worry there are enough of those to keep you coming back here later...)
