NPC/Stamp Questions

1. Can you make NPCs invincible?

2. If you have 4 aggressive (i'm not sure what stamina it is, so please tell!) NPCs standing next to eachother, will they attack eachother?

3. I know this is kind of stupid, but what exactly IS a stamp?

Update: I went to #coldstone and they told me there.

Thanks,
Bunny

If people would take the time to understand and know someone, to appreciate this person, wouldn't we live in a better world?
But if we did, then how would we learn anything? A world without hurt is a world without lessons.

Ms. PinkFluffyBunny,

That's fine, but I'm sure other people may have the same questions or be interested in the responses, so as long as you posted the question we might as well fill in the blanks.

1. Can you make NPCs invincible?

Not completely invincible, no. You can "fake" it by giving the NPC a high stamina, a high protection, high resistances, high dexterity, and then by giving the NPC a healing spell with 0 magic points and setting him to cast it as he sees fit. This will make it so the NPC is hard to hit, and when he is hit he takes minimal damage. The healing spell will allow the NPC to continually heal any damage that he might recieve.

HOWEVER,

If a player is able to kill the NPC in one hit, then the NPC will die. There is no way, to my knowledge, to completely 100% immortalize an NPC. Unless you want to make a death event that when the NPC dies he just gets reloaded. I guess that would do it, cheesy as it may be.

No. Aggressive NPC's are all on the same "team" and thus will not attack eachother. They will, however, mob the player.

A stamp is a picture that is placed on an existing map to add/remove/change it in some way. Let's say that you have a map with a river in it, and at the beginning of the game there is no way to cross it. But in the game the player can gather materials and build a bridge. Instead of loading a whole new map with a bridge in place, you can simply create a picture of a bridge, and place it as a stamp onto the existing map once the player has "built" it. The bridge will now show up as part of the map in the location that it was placed.
