I don't think any one has made a full-scale game yet, but if they did, (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/games/coldstone/addons.html")this(/url) would be a good place to find them.

Have you tried unstuffing the files? They are compressed.
Yes, it alwayz says the Archive is damaged. It's that way with my computer and my dad's for some reason. I just threw away my AIM cause it was screwed up and now I can't get a new AIM cause my computer and my dad's are both being gay.

Mr. MK,
What are you using to unstuff the files? If you do not have the latest version of stuffit expander, which is 6.5.1, I would suggest you get it. If you use an older version to unstuff files that were stuffed with the newer version then you will get errors. The newest version can be found (url="http://"http://www.stuffit.com/expander/macindex.html")here(/url).
Another possible reason could be in how your are downloading the files. Are you using a web browser, an ftp client, or a hotline client to download the files? Are you utilizing any downloading "enhancing" programs such as Speed Download? Have you checked the size of the downloaded file against what the download archive lists as its size to make sure they are the same?
Good luck.

I had the same problem, downloaded a new expander after the first time iIdownloaded Seventh Quest a few weeks ago, so I have expander 6.5, still problems with the unzip. Anyone else?

Mr. -LethaLGraphiX-,
I'm going to assume you meant that you have 6.5.1, instead of 6.5 which you listed...
How did you download Seventh Quest? If you are using a browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape I have heard of issues where the browser prematurely quits downloading before the entire program is pulled down. If this occurs then there is data missing and the expander program will not find the end of the file that it is looking for, and will give you a corrupt archive message.
If you are downloading via a web browser be sure you check the file size after you pull the program down to make sure you got the entire file.
nope, I have 6.5, from the Alladin site, as a part of stuffit lite, downloaded and installed july 21.
I'm running a update search as we're typing this -ok 6.5.1 is the newest version -, but I find it unlikely that a version mismatch would occur with a .sit compressed before I downloaded the expander.
I have downloaded Seventh Quest using Hotline, then got it uploaded on my Carracho server by Squak. The other game I downloaded from Hotline was Starquest (not sure if it was starquest 1 or 2..)
Both appeared intact .sits, and I can assure you the only broken file I ever got from carracho or hotline was a file that was already broken on the server. Sometimes I mount disk images wich have been aborted and resumed over ten times.
So assuming the Seventh Quest .sit wasn't replaced before it was uploaded to me, I have two .sit files with both coincidentally have corrupted .dat files after unzipping. In fact, both crashed during a repeated unzip try with only stuffit Expander running on the computer.
As the .dat files constitute the majority of the .sits, it's likely that the corruption appearing there in both files is a coincidence.
I'd still like to hear from other people, see if they had similar problems, no problems at all,..
-oh, and before you ask, there's no preference setting for text translation anymore, I assume they just kicked that out
- I run OS N1 - 9.2.1

Yeah, I've never had problems downloading via hotline/corracho unless someone put a buggered up file on the server in the first place. So I doubt the problem lies in your downloading of the file.
Assuming that the file itself is not the problem, then it has to lie in the decompression/dearchiving of the file. Are the files stuffed and zipped both, or stuffed and the binhexed, or just zipped? You flipped between talking about the .sit files and then you mentioned getting errors when unzipping them.
If the files are .zip you might, just for giggles, try out MacZip. You can download it (url="http://"http://mac.tucows.com/preview/206993.html")here(/url). Not sure if it will help at all, but worth a try if your files have the .zip extension(even though stuffit should open it without a problem).
Either that or contact whomever uploaded the files and see if anyone else has reported problems with the archive.
Well, this is the story. I try to download junk with Internet explorer and it doesn't work. I then switch to Netscape Navigator. I download it with that. It says "Will Open with Stuff It Expander". Then when it's done it says "Stuffit expander could not be found" I then hit save document. I then open up my old AOL 4.0 to expand it and it says the Arcive was damaged and here we are with this HUGE problem......then I try downloading stuffit expander and it does the same thing......

Hi Lethal
I had the unstuffing porb with 7th quest fixed it by adding .dmg to the file and mounting it as a disk image.
but the game is very un polished and the ripped music might induce seizures
good luck

The thing with downloading messing up; happens to me. I tried dling realMYST demo through internet explorer, it got messed up 2 times. So, the third time it was fine. You just have to keep trying. StuffIt 6.5.1 also helped Just be consistant, and never give up.
