I have tried to use stamps but they do not show up. I looked all over the map just to see if I put the cordinies in wrong. Is it in pixels or something? Is there a special way to insert stamps?

It is in pixels. Use the third set of coordinates from the map editor to help you place it.
Stamps also have various options for which layer they show up on. The quickest way to see if the picture you've chosen for the stamp even works is to add it using the "add foreground" option.
Also don't forget to hit the silly + button to actually add the stamp . . . don't know how many times I've just hit enter after putting in my stamp info and ended up not placing a thing.
