It's me again!
In this game I'm making, I was going to have some new stats in addition to the default stats, like sword skill, thievery, etc. These would be global variables which would be used in events. I want them displayed on the Statistics window when you play a game. How can I do this?
P.S. Don't you think there should be more user skills than just Karma?

Ah inspiration does come from familiar places (i.e. the skills ur imitating from FF9)
you could perhaps create a stat screen of ur own nulling out the built in one, meaning;
use a key up command--->assign stats to a button that triggers a dialog whcich displays the following
"GOLD: &&GOLD;&& EXP: &&EXP;&& SWORDSKILL: &&SWRDSKL;&&
etc. this would display your variables but would require some behind the scenes work with the scripting details, but essentially the stats screen is just a dialog that displays the ready made stats, meaning u can do it ur self but you'll have more legwork to do. Think on it.
